Protect
Digital technology, improved archival methods and the
finest archival products make it easier and safer than
ever to protect your family history from damage. The
time is now to start preserving your heritage.
“If you wait… it may be too late!”
Digital Archiving Services
Are your photos yellowed, faded, scratched, torn or
stained? Are the delicate, original prints framed on
your walls and bookshelf slowly fading away? What would
happen to them in case of fire or flood?
- Scanning
Scan your prints, slides, negatives, documents and
print memorabilia for safekeeping and sharing.
Your collection is never mailed to another scanning
company: We safely hand-carry all materials from
your home to our Portland office, lightly hand-clean
and scan images, then hand-carry them back again.
All images receive automatic digital enhancements
to remove much of the dust and scratches and improve
color.
If you’d prefer to leave photos in your treasured
heritage albums (or photos are too difficult to
remove safely) we can scan and reproduce entire
pages for you.
Photo
DVDs and Thumbnail Index Books
Your scanned image files are stored on archival-gold
quality data DVDs.
Each DVD is digitally imprinted with an image and
title design of your choice. Each DVD can be paired
with a full-color Index Book that displays thumbnailimages
of every photo on the disk—making it quick and easy
to find images.
- Digital Retouching & Restoration
Bring back the beauty and detail of images that
have faded over time. The Northwest’s rainy climate
and ever hotter summers make photos susceptible
to damage from mold, water, light and temperature
change. Digital restoration can also correct photos
that were imperfectly made, such as those with poor
exposure, composition or developing.
